We realized already a while ago that we in Tartu have overlapping sample IDs with Jena/Leipzig (three letter, three digits code: ABC001), therefore we decided to use a prefix for published data: utigABC001, therefore our already existing lab ID is utig/UTIG (University of Tartu, Institute of Genomics).

With the assumption that you normally would only have one lab per institute, and if you have multiple you may share a aDNA laboratory and possibly also a LIMS
